Frankly, our suitcases this year look like a Kroger store. We have packed so much food. We left a lot of our clothes in France so that enabled us this year to take over food and toiletries. I refuse to spend 3 Euros on a travel size bottle of deodorant in France. We are also taking lots of gifts back to our French friends. I can't wait to see their faces when they see what we have gotten them. We have bought OSU shirts, games and candy as gifts for different people. Also France doesn't seem to enjoy brownie mixes (or brownies) like we do, which are the perfect 'sorry I forgot to tell you, people are coming over, or I said we'd bring a dessert' fix, so we have a few of those packed as well.
On a more serious note, please pray for our families as we leave them again. They do a lot of behind the scenes work to make sure we can do this, like taxes, taking care of our car, insurance issues and basically everything we cannot do over there. Also we know it is hard for them to see us leave. They are proud of us and have enjoyed seeing us this summer. It is always a teary-eyed event on both ends when we leave . Please pray that God keeps them safe and comforts them while we are gone.
...Next time we write it will be on the other side of the pond.
