Gratefulness

So I have really been learning a lot recently on being grateful everyday and how that is a choice that we have to make everyday. I am so much like the Israelites. God gives me one thing and I am grateful for a minute then I want something else. I am trying to cultivate in my heart gratefulness every day to God. And not just for the big things, but for the little things. For instance I can be so focused on the fact that it is cold in our apartment and that the heat won't get turned on for 3 more weeks (or whenever some person somewhere decides to turn it on) that I can forget to be grateful that I have a place to live. And I'm saying to live like a martyr, with the thought of someone somewhere has it worse than me, but to be concious of the things that the Lord gives me everyday. Like take for instance yesterday. For some reason all of the public transportation in our city was closed. Something called of day of solidarity to honor someone who died. But it was beautiful outside! Today it is rainy and cold. Normally, even though it was beautiful I wouldn't have taken the time to walk to campus. But in some ways I was so grateful that God shut down the transporation system because it made me enjoy the day. Its just a little change of heart that I know will go a long way in how I deal with different circumstances. So thank you Lord for the internet...even when it's slow...

The public transportation system in our city

Very cool looking, ... how's it powered? Just regular diesel ?

No, I think it is electricity and water pressure. All of our buses are powered by natural gas. We are very environmentally friendly here!
