So last Tuesday was our two year anniversary. I love anniversaries. It's just your special holiday and it's an accomplishment. This anniversary didn't go exactly as planned. Our car died. Dead. The brake line broke and the mechanic said the rear brake line could go tomorrow and so could the fuel line. He said the job would at least be 600$, but probably more. After putting about 1000$ in it this summer, I think we hit a wall and said we are done with this car. At first we were upset and frustrated thinking here we go again, another car problem (this was the 4th time our cars were in the shop this summer). But then Keith reminded us that Satan comes to steal, kill, and destroy and he wants to return our joyful anniversary. We decided that was not going to happen and now we are kind of excited to buy our first car together when we get back from France and hopefully something reliable.
His parents allowed us to borrow their car so we could still go to Kelley's Island for afternoon. That was much appreciated. It is always nice to get away and spend some time just the two of us doing something fun. I think that is something we have found working together is that we get to spend a lot of time together. Which we really enjoy don't get me wrong, but we don't want our marriage to become just two coworkers living together. So it's great to get away and just be married sometimes!
Just before our anniversary we were at a wedding where they did the anniversary dance. The couple who won was married 55 years. What a blessing that is to have that many years together! I pray Keith and I get to enjoy the same thing!
