Wedding!

On Friday we had the honor of attending one of our friend's weddings here in Nantes. She is French and his from the Faroe Islands (north of Scotland). They met when they were doing missions together with Operation Mobilization. It was a beautiful ceremony! It was really touching to watch them put Christ first in their marriage from the beginning.
And.....the reception was in a castle! I felt like a princess there and I wasn't even the one getting married. It was just picture perfect. French weddings are obviously a little bit different than American ones. We asked one of our French friends what would happen if we clinked our glasses with our knives (thinking that at American weddings the couple knows to kiss then). She informed us that if we did that people would think that we were going to give a toast. Good thing we learned that beforehand. That would have been a little bit embarrassing! Though there was definitely time for lots of toasts with all the different courses. The party didn't even start till about midnight. We left a little after 2 and people were still partying. I was impressed!
