Hello Everyone,
I just wanted to let everyone know about our big week next week. Keith gave a talk last week at our meeting about sharing our faith and the importance of doing it. So this week we are having four different options a day for the students to join us on campus. One really neat thing that we have started to do is using the Solarium cards. I don' t know if people have heard of them, but they are 50 pictures in the shape of a post card. You ask the person to pick 2-3 images that describe their life right now, what they would like their life to be like, their spiritual journey up to this point, their image of God and a few other questions. You do it a lot slower and I've been impressed with how much people open up and are willing to talk. The French are especially sensitive to beauty and art, so it works well within the culture. It is even fun to do with people you know and the cards seem to lead to deeper conversations.
On a lighter note, we would out about the Ikea breakfast this week. At Ikea you can get breakfast, which includes a pain au chocolat (croissant bread with chocolate in it, popular in French) bread and jelly and unlimited coffee, hot chocolate and pop. You get all of this for 1 Euro! So we went this Saturday and it was very good. The hot chocolate was very rich as well. We were wondering if they have this breakfast at Ikeas back home...
FYI: We will be gone for awhile so I will post in 2-3 weeks.
