Back in Nantes

Well we are back in Nantes and the New Years conference was incredible...we will share more of why in our next update.

We ended up coming down with colds right before Christmas. We actually went to the doctor on Christmas Eve thinking that we might have strep throat. Thankfully we didn't, just viruses!

The Thursday after Christmas we took a train all the way across France to get to the conference. Our city was the second farthest away city that was there and we had the largest amount of students. It was fun being with the students and meeting the staff from all over France. The scenary was beautiful in the Alps and it was great seeing students from all over France and hearing what was happening on their campuses.

We had one afternoon to go skiing at the conference, but since Keith and I had never skied before we thought this might not be the time to start. We also figured we have had enough run ins with French doctors already. So we decided for a safe alternative of sledding! The snow was up to my waist deep. But we had a lot of fun as you can see from the picture. Unfortunately only our tennis shoes made it across the ocean, no snow boots for us. Our feet were cold for a long time!
