Sorry to not have written for awhile, it has been busy here. We just celebrated Christmas here yesterday. We couldn't find a ham, so we did salmon and shrimp. Tomorrow we will head (very early) to the Alps. France has a New Years conference for all the students. Our city has the most coming from any city in France. We got an email saying that the place we are going to, got a bunch of snow. We are excited to see snow since it hasn't and probably won't snow in Nantes. We will have a chance to go skiing as well, but since Keith and I have never skied I don't know if the Alps would be a good place to start. We've already had a little bit too much experience with the medical system here.
One that is different here is that the only Christmas Eve services available in France are midnight masses. The Protestant churches don't hold Christmas Eve services. It was weird to stay home that night. We listened to an old Christmas Eve service online, but it just wasn't the same.
The picture is of Keith decorating our Ikea Christmas tree. Soon we have to take it back to get our money back.
