A FRENCH STUDENT EATING HIS FIRST PIECE OF PUMPKIN PIE.

Hello Everyone, I just wanted to say thank you for praying for our Thanksgiving outreach. We had 70 people come! We actually ran out of food! The French loved our American Thanksgiving cooking. We had a ton of new people come and it was great as they got to interact with us and the French Christians as well. One girl I had just invited that morning came with her brother and friend!

We had 3 kitchens going all day to make it work, one was ours. Our tiny little stove (it is very tiny compared to American stoves) never had so much work. I had to cram the bird on an angle just to get him to fit. When I walked into the church where we have our meetings carrying the last of the food from our place, I was greeted by one of the French student leaders holding a knife and looking at one of the turkeys. He said 'I don't know how to do this' and gave me the knife. That is how I carved my first whole turkey on my own. Many students asked us 'What exactly is stuffing?' That is kind of a hard question to answer.
This weekend Keith and I had our own Thanksgiving while the rest of the team traveled. I didn't cook a whole turkey again though, just some pieces. Now we are praying that all those new students come back the next week for our Alpha meeting.
